Twilight Sparkle

Twilight Sparkle is the main character / mane pony of 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'. Twilight is a female lavender/purple Unicorn pony where later in the series, she turns into an Alicorn and becomes the princess in Magical Mystery Cure. She is voiced by Tara Strong and Rebecca Shoichet is her singing voice.

In the beginning of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Twilight lives in Canterlot as Princess Celestia's student, but she is then sent to Ponyville where she ends up living in the Golden Oak Library with her trusted baby dragon friend, Spike as her assistant as she continues giving Princess Celestia friendship reports. Twilight is also represents the Element of Magic.

Twilight Sparkle has a knack for organization, logic, perception, and has a high level of rationality. She is exceptionally very well with her magic and has a passion for books and knowledge. She is a very dependable pony and everypony knows that if they are looking for answers, Twilight is definitely to have them.

Twilight has a brother named Shining Armor and is sister-in-law to her former foal-sitter, Princess Cadance. Her mother and father's names are Twilight Velvet and Night Light respectively.







Twilight Sparkle's Cutie Mark is star-shaped. The main mark is a huge pink star, then there are five other small stars surrounds it and another single white star hidden behind the pink star. Her cutie mark is most likely to represent Twilight and her abilities to use magic.

When Twilight achieved her cutie mark, she was just a filly who embraced the study of magic all on her own since she wanted to attend Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. At the entrance exam to the school, Twilight Sparkle was told to use magic in order to hatch Spike's egg but was disrupted by Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom move, startling her and making her magic go out of control. Celestia acknowledged Twilight's magical abilities and made Twilight her very own personal protége gaining her cutie mark.
