My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 1 Episode 4 - Applebuck Season

Lesson:

A true friend is always there to help in anyway at anytime, but it's not just about giving what you have to offer, but also accepting what your friends have to offer as well. It's always great to help, but  never let pride get in the way since it's just as great to get help.

SUMMARY:

The fourth episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is entitled 'Applebuck Season'.

Applejack vows to tackle the whole harvest of Sweet Apple Acres all by herself during Applebuck Season since her brother, Big McIntosh is injured. Applejack soon finds out how difficult it is to handle along with trying to help her friends out at the same time.

Most Dependable Pony of Ponyville

As Applejack applebucks the apple trees around Sweet Apple Acres, the ground starts to rumble as a stampede of cows head towards Ponyville. Her and her dog Winona herd the cows astray and save everypony in Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity and Mayor Mare decide to give Applejack the 'Prize Pony of Ponyville Award' for "trustworthiness, reliability, and integrity and most capable and dependable pony of Ponyville." as quoted by Mayor Mare.

Applejack attempts to help out her friends, but inevitably fails since she is too tired and dizzy to concentrate. Twilight Sparkle continuously tries to offer help to Applejack but she stubbornly refuses every time.






A PONY IN NEED:

Rainbow Dash and the Catapult

As Applejack promised some of her friends that she would help them out, Rainbow Dash asked Applejack assistance for making her new move. Although she was dizzy, she still tried to help by jumping on the catapult and launching Rainbow Dash into the air to practice her flips. With blurred vision, Applejack jumps as Rainbow Dash was unprepared, making her crash land into the Golden Oak Library balcony. Twilight tries to talk to Applejack again to no avail.

Pinkie Pie with the "Baked Bads"

Later that day, Applejack went to Sugarcube Corner to help out Pinkie Pie bake some muffins while Mr.  and Mrs. Cake were out. Applejack's fatigue got the best of her as she couldn't hear clearly turning chocolates chips into potato chip, baking soda into regular soda, a cup of lour into a cup of sour lemon juice, and wheat germ into earthworms. When the muffins are baked, Pinkie Pie exclaims free muffins to everypony where Derpy, Sea Swirl and Minuette are also one in front line.

Instantly, the scene pops into a sick-tent where many ponies lay sick from the baked goods they ate which Pinkie Pie exclaims that "those weren't baked good, they were baked bads!". Spike then happily eats more muffins saying they aren't that bad while an earthworm squiggles inside. Twilight tries to offer Applejack help again but then is instantly refused. She then comment that Applejack is 'as stubborn as a mule' and says 'no offense' to a mule nearby.



Bunny Herding

As her last task of offering help to her friends, Applejack meets up with Fluttershy to help out gather the  baby rabbits for Fluttershy's bunny census. She warns Applejack that the bunnies are very shy and timid and to be careful and calm with them during herding, but Applejack's rowdy attitude and Winona's loud barking scares the bunnies. Cornered, the bunnies freak out and stampede towards Ponyville eating the town's crops and gardens and giving Fluttershy an even harder time with the census. Twilight finds out and can't take anymore of Applejack's stubbornness so she confronts her once and for all.

APPLEJACK PUTS HER PRIDE ASIDE:

After all her failed attempts and giving more problems to her friends than solving, Applejack is confronted by Twilight Sparkle to offer more help which she agrees to after she gains consciousness from passing out when Big McIntosh showed her that only half of Sweet Apple Acres were harvested. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and Pinkie Pie then all work together to finish harvesting making them finish faster. During a break, Applejack gives her friends some Apple Juice and apologizes to all of them for the trouble she made and thanked them for their help. Twilight gave a friendship report that is it just as okay to receive help from friends as it is to give help. Then Spike offers them a worm-filled muffin he found in the garbage and the episode ends.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 1 Episode 3 - The Ticket Master

Lesson:

If you have blessings to share, that is wonderful and you should share, but if there isn't enough to go around, it is better to just not have or not go at all rather than let your best friends down, or just learn to ask if there is a way all of you can go together.

SUMMARY:

The third episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is entitled 'The Ticket Master'.

In this episode Twilight Sparkle receives two tickets from Princess Celestia to attend the Grand Galloping Gala to be held in Canterlot. When Twilight's friends find out that she has an extra ticket they all fight over and try to flatter Twilight to giving one of them the ticket.

THE PONIES' AND THE TICKET

Applejack:

Twilight Sparkle and Applejack were apple picking when Twilight Sparkle received the tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. Immediately Applejack was excited to go and sell food from the Apple family to save up money to fix up the old barn, Big McIntosh's old plow and even old Granny Smith.

                              Rainbow Dash:

After Applejack explained to Twilight how she would be delighted to get the extra ticket, Rainbow Dash fell from out of nowhere on top of the two. Explaining how she was having a nap, she told Twilight why she absolutely needed the ticket which was because her dream of showing the Wonderbolts her moves and becoming part of their team would come true at the Grand Galloping Gala.

Pinkie Pie:

When the tickets fluttered in Pinkie Pie's face, she screams "Bats! Bat's on my face! Ahh bats!" but then realizes when she opens up her eyes that they were actually tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. She then started singing a song of how she belonged at the Gala since it was one of the biggest parties ever.

                Rarity:

When Rarity found out about the tickets, she instantly went to daydream-land where she explained how honored she would be to go to the Grand Galloping Gala where she will find her true love, Prince Blueblood and they would h dance and get married then live happily ever after.

Fluttershy:

Typical Fluttershy, she is shy at first but her bunny friend, Angel helps tell Twilight Sparkle and Spike that she would love to go to the Grand Galloping Gala as well for the reason of the exquisite flora and fauna that is located at Canterlot and will be found at the Gala.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS

As the day continued on, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy tried to bribe Twilight Sparkle into giving them the extra ticket to the Gala. Twilight just couldn't decide and all the favors the ponies were doing made her decision harder. Eventually all the ponies of Ponyville found out about the extra ticket which made Twilight have to hide in the Library. At her surprise she found out that her friends were eagerly waiting for her there.

Twilight couldn't handle all the pressure and ended up deciding to send Princess Celestia a Friendship Report that she would rather not go to the Grand Galloping Gala than leave any of her friends behind. Hastily Princess Celestia replied with more tickets saying that Twilight should have just asked. In the end every pony and even Spike, who hid his excitement, was happy to be able to attend the Grand Galloping Gala.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 1 Episode 1 & 2 (Part 1 & 2) - Friendship is Magic

Lesson:

In your everyday life, never forget the importance of Honesty, Generosity, Laughter, Loyalty, Kindness, and Friendship as together it gives magic to world and everyone around you!

SUMMARY:

The first episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Part 1 is entitled 'Mare in the Moon' while Part 2 or episode 2 is entitled 'Elements of Harmony'.

In Part 1, Twilight Sparkle, originally a student from Canterlot, is sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration and to make friends although she would rather study more about the prophecy on Nightmare Moon. There she meets Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy.

In Part 2, Nightmare Moon has returned from her millennium slumber to leave all of Equestria in darkness forever. Twilight Sparkle and her new friends find the power of the Elements of Harmony which are hidden in the royal sister's ancient castle making them have to venture into the Everfree Forest.

ELEMENTS OF HARMONY:

The Element of Honesty:

As the ponies venture into Everfree Forest, a cloud of purple smoke triggers a landslide on the mountain-side they were walking along. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash catches Pinkie Pie and Rarity while Applejack catches a root during the slide. Applejack then goes to Twilight Sparkle's rescue as she reassures her that she will be alright when she lets go. Twilight Sparkle then believes Applejack and lets go while Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy then catch her.

"What I'm telling you is the honest truth. Let go, and you'll be safe."

The Element of Kindness:

As the ponies continue their journey, an enraged manticore faces them. All the ponies try to attack it with full force while Fluttershy tries to tell them to stop. When they heard Fluttershy's cry, the ponies stopped as she approached the manticore and pulled out a thorn from its paw which then vanished into a cloud of purple smoke.

"Sometimes we all just need to be shown a little kindness."

      The Element of Laughter:

When the trees in the Everfree Forest are converted to scary faces due to the cloud of smoke once again, the ponies become frightened towards the monstrous faces except for Pinkie Pie as she starts laughing. She then sings the 'Laughter Song' to show her friends how to face their fear by laughter.

"You'll see that they can't hurt you; just laugh to make them disappear!"

The Element of Generosity:

The ponies arrive at a river that they need to cross, but is blocked by a sea serpent who is depressed since a "tacky little cloud of purple smoke" came by and whisked one side of his fabulous mustache away. Rarity went up and helped the sea serpent and his dilemma by cutting off her own tail and handing it to the sea serpent for a makeshift mustache. He then helps the ponies cross.

"I cannot have this crime against fabulosity go uncorrected!"

The Element of Loyalty:

As the ponies near the castle ruins, they are hindered by the broken bridge over a gorge. Rainbow Dash then flies over to the other side to tie the bridge back up so they could all cross but is stopped when three pegasi called the Shadowbolts flatter Rainbow Dash and ask her to be their team captain. She was tempted but when she found out she had to leave her friends behind to choose them Rainbow Dash declined and tied the bridge back up as the Shadowbolts vanished into purple smoke.

"I'd never leave my friends hanging."

The Element of Magic:

The ponies finally reached the castle ruins and found five orbs which Twilight Sparkle believed were the Elements of Harmony, although Midnight Moon teleported Twilight to another tower along with the orbs and broke them. Twilight's friends then arrived as she realized that the spirits of the Elements of Harmony resided inside of her and her friends. The shattered orbs then glowed and formed necklaces on the ponies and a crown on Twilight's head which matched their cutie marks as the power of magic and friendship defeated Midnight Moon.

"You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic!"

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna:

Princess Luna was then turned back to her normal self after the Elements of Harmony showered their power on her. Princess Celestia was also released from the dark powers and greeted all the ponies with her knowledge that she knew Midnight Moon was coming but believed in Twilight Sparkle and her power along with Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity to defeat her. Princess Luna then apologized to Princess Celestia and they all went home together.

Twilight Sparkle's New Mission:

                         

After their adventure, all the ponies went back to Ponyville to celebrate the return of both princess' with a party! In the festivity, Twilight Sparkle was seen moping around as she didn't want to leave Ponyville and her new friends. Princess Celestia solved the problem by giving Twilight a new mission; to continue her studies on the Magic of Friendship and report frequently on her findings. With an end, Twilight promised to study harder than ever as all the ponies celebrated their friendship.
